2024 NBA Draft post-it note (May 16): Tidjane Stans Up, AJ Johnson underrated, shoutout to the Asian hoopers

Another draft post it note

People finally realizing what Tidjane Salaun is capable of baby!!!! He’s been my fav prospect for a while, I’m happy to see him get his respect for stepping up in the LNB Pro A Playoffs. And look I 1000% understand the concerns people have about his game. But watching him just makes me go, “bruh……. if he can do THAT? We’re in business.”

AJ Johnson is smooth. I finally got around to really watching him, and even tho his numbers are kinda in the dumps, he seems so comfortable and natural on the court. He’s still 19, and I think his upside is being overlooked. With his frame and mechanics, I can buy that he can slowly develop most of the skills you look for in an all-star guard.

Shoutout to Xaivian Lee. Dude is total hooper. I support all Asian and Asian American hoopers of course, but I think Xaivian Lee and also Hansen Yang have especially strong cases for being drafted. Given a weaker draft class, I don’t think you can make a concrete case that this player or that player is draftworthy, but Xaivian and Hansen aren’t.
