These are the guys I’m higher on than consensus and I really think will succeed in the nba. Let me know your lineups in the comments

PG: Carlton Carrington

Count me a fan of his game, his size and shot making ability while also being one of the youngest prospects in the draft is super intriguing for me. There are lots of upside swings this year that I’m not a fan of at all, but Carrington is one that has a great chance of panning out. Yes, the rim pressure is not there yet and his shooting numbers weren’t great, but if he can develop with on ball reps for wherever he’s drafted, he can become one of the best players in the class.

SG: Devin Carter

Carter is just such an overall talented player, he’s good at so many things. Arguably the highest floor in the class with all of his skills. Best guard rebounding prospect since like Josh Hart, super scrappy perimeter defender, apparently he’s been an incredible shooter in workouts and this season, plus has the upside to be an offensive engine for whoever drafts him. The age is a concern for some, but he’s literally so good at everything it doesn’t matter. He also had one of the best draft combines, athletically speaking. I think the wizards drafting him at 2 should be seriously considered. He just knows how to play the game.

Realistically I love the Hornets fit for him, if Castle and Sheppard aren’t available don’t be too surprised if the hornets take him at 6👀

SF: Yongxi Cui

Deep sleeper but honestly I don’t really have a 3 that I love in this class, Cui is flying under the radar majorly but I think there’s a good chance he can develop into a backup wing for a team. Very good shooter and off ball player with passable defense. He has a lot to like about him on offense. Whoever picks him up out of UDFA most likely should be hoping for him to be a solid bench contributor from his first season onward. I could see him sticking in the NBA for sure.

PF: Jonathan Mogbo

Mogbo has some very important weaknesses about his game that do need to be addressed. Yes, he can’t shoot the 3 ball and he is very small for his position (6’8 or so in shoes). However, he makes up for his lack of height with incredible length, with a 7’2.5 wingspan. He has the length of an average NBA big, so that shouldn’t be something to be concerned with. And yeah, he’s not going to be a shooter in the nba but that’s not what you’re drafting him for. You are drafting Jonathan Mogbo to come in and be an incredible rebounder and be able to be a quality DHO hub as he has incredible passing vision and feel for the game. He also contributes in a major way on defense. With everything that he brings to the table, it reminds me a lot of prospect Draymond Green, and Mogbo is likely sliding down to the second round just like Draymond did. Don’t make the same mistake again, Mogbo could be a top 20 talent.

C: Yves Missi

Missi is a raw center, but has a very high ceiling as a strong contributor for a playoff level team. One may say that the non-shooting big man doesn’t have a role in the nba anymore, but that’s just not true. Look at every team around the league, pretty much every single one has a non shooting center on the roster. And most of them aren’t as athletic and big as Missi is. Missi also developed a face up game as the season progressed and it became more and more prevalent later in the season. He showed confidence driving against big defenders, displaying his finishing skill and some skill with the ball in his hands. He even had a highlight where he hit a shammgod. He’s only been playing basketball for a couple of years and he’s already improving at a rapid rate, chances are it’ll continue and he will continue to develop and eventually become a great contributor for whoever drafts him. There’s a bust chance associated here because he’s a raw prospect right now, but it will only take a year or two for him to become a real contributor in my opinion. Missi’s developing some real creation potential, and that’s enough to consider him lottery.
