Why Johnny Davis will be a bust.

First of all, turnovers. His last two games, he had a 2:1 t/a ratio, and a 3:1 t/a ratio. That’s not good numbers. 5 games with more than two turnovers. In the NBA, 3 turnovers can flip the game. Like I will say many more times, he will not lead a team like that.

Second, efficiency. He played terribly in his last game, the same game where he had 4 turnovers and 2 assists. He went 4-18 in that game. 22.2% is bad, I shouldn’t have to say that. No NBA is being led by this guy.

Third, NBA fit. So I’m the NBA nowadays, people want 3&D. Mikal Bridges for example, recently got about an 80 million dollar deal. He is good at defense and shooting. Now a look back at Johnny Davis. 5 games this season he had under 33.5% from 3. Now he has good toughness on the defensive end. I’ll give him that.

Fourth, shot creation. On SB Nation, all of their writers said the one area he had to improve. All of them said shot creation. I think he needs to be more consistent with his shot off the dribble. It seems he doesn’t have a really set shot or shot preparation. If he is going to be good off the dribble, he needs to be consistent.
