Just like the T-Wolves, the only way the Warriors will be able to move Wiggin's contract is unfortunately by giving up that (proj) #6 pick. Wiggins is an ok rotation player getting paid like a star, thus, his contract is an albatross. The fact that the Warriors would be receiving both Turner AND Brogdon - who are both better than Wiggins at this point of their careers (and combine to make just a bit more than Wiggins), means that likely multiple draft picks would need to be involved. Fortunately, I think they can make it work this year without having to send any assets beyond this draft, so I think I found a trade that works for both parties:
Warriors receive: Brogdon, Turner
Pacers receive: Wiggins, Poole, 2021 #6 pick, 2021 #14 pick
A starting 5 of Steph, Klay, Brogdon, Draymond, and Myles is lethal from a 3-pt and defensive perspective, which fits the Warrior's style perfectly. The draft after the top 4 this year is kinda a big question mark, so I would make that move in a heartbeat if I were Golden State. Myles Turner is the best rim-deterrent in the league and is not being maximized on the Pacers with Sabonis doing most of the work offensively at Center, and Brogdon is coming off a career year as a scorer and playmaker (and was a member of the 50-40-90 club when he was the 3rd option in MIL). Both are on under below-value contracts for the next 2 seasons.
While depth may be an issue for the Dubs, they still could use Wiseman and a sign-and-trade for Oubre to get multiple other spots filled from bad teams looking to offload rotation players (think ORL). Also, they wouldn't have a problem attracting buyout guys if they were considered a contender in the West and have good minutes available for those kinds of players. Needless to say, I like this trade for a contending Warriors team and for a re-tooling Pacers team (admittedly I'm a Steph fan, even though Pacers are my team, so I would like to see both sides be great).
