The Pistons land a 2nd year player they really like in Quentin Grimes to add to their impressive young core. Playing time may be tough to come by right away for Grimes but expect the Pistons to make other moves before the trade deadline to open up a rotation spot for him. Rose returns to Detroit to give their second unit an offensive boost and can take over as the starter if Cade is out for a while. Todd will replace Noel as a backup big.

SF: Bogdonovic, Bey, McGruder
SG: Ivey, Burks, Grimes
PG: Cunningham, Rose, Hayes
It was reported today that The Knicks are looking to move Rose and Grimes to clear out their back court logjam. This trade makes it happen. Wil Barton should step right into the rotation as a backup wing option. Gibson heads back home to NY to join Coach Thibs and give the Knicks a familiar veteran big to help fill in while Robinson is out. The two #2 picks from Detroit are always useful.

The Wizards have a need at PG with Wright and Goodwin both injured and way to many undersized bigs. This trade would help to alleviate those problems. Wil Barton struggled to find a role in WAS and will be replaced by the younger, freakishly athletic Diallo who will battle for minutes on the wing. Joseph will step right in as the backup PG, Noel gives Washington a strong defender and paint protector to join their big man mix.
