Pels move JV, Jones, two fillers, and a future first for Bojan Bogdanovic and Marvin Bagley. Pels want to move JV for a more athletic big, which Bagley fits. Bojan would complete their starting five: CJ, Bog, Murphy, Ingram, and Zion. That would be a versatile and great shooting team. Giving up Jones hurts but they also avoid having to pay him next year.

Pistons replace Bog with a better and younger defender. JV comes off the bench and can be moved at the trade deadline. They get a future asset and two flyers as well.
