The Thunder are one of the hottest teams in the NBA but they could use another forward who spaces the floor well and a backup big like Paul Reed with Hartenstein out.
Detroit lands a perfect guard to pair with Cade and Ivey as Cason Wallace is a great on ball stopper and spaces the floor while Cade and Ivey are leading their respective units. Add in the fact that all 3 are under 24 and this becomes the guard rotation of the future. Paul Reed does not play and Fontecchio’s minutes have dropped from 30 to 18 under JB and his shooting has been off to start the season. This move gives Detroit a guard trio that really complements the rotation, add in Ausar and Holland at the 3, then this team just needs to focus on finding shooters in the frontcourt for the next two years.
