Why Toronto Does This:

They would love their pick back i'm sure. That is probably something they are stressing about in the front office. With a lot of guard depth Schroder is someone who is replaceable.

Why San Antonio Does This:

Without a pure, proven PG to maximize Wembys development they have been struggling. They were looking at bringing back Dejounte Murray, but bringing in a proven pass first PG who is lethal in the pick and role would fit perfectly. Additionally they gain a little bit of cap space getting off the McDermott contract.
