Raptors: If they decide that VanVleet isn't someone they want to resign in the offseason, then this makes sense. They can get a look at Nunn and Beverley (never hurts to have guys physically in Toronto to see the system and the city for longer than 2 nights), and they get a far off first. This likely pushes them closer to trying for a decent draft pick this year.
Lakers: They get a third option around James and Davis. FVV has typically thrived when he has had lob threats in the pick and roll, and I think he would thrive in a position where he isn't under pressure to save the day constantly.
