If the rockets were to sign nobody in free agency, an idea I’ve been floating around is taking on Lonzo’s contract for Chicago. In this deal, we would receive an injury riddled player, who wouldn’t be ready to play for at least half of one season seemingly. That being said, we may just be the perfect place for him. There’d be 0 pressure to return early, as Houston aren’t contenders. As well as that, if he ever did return and remain healthy at some point, this would be a very effective buy low for the rockets, and if not, his deal is only for 2 years, so we’d be able to get rid of him just after that anyways.
