First off, this trade cannot happen till Jan 15 at the earliest because of all the recently traded/signed players involved.

I believe Morey will pull off a deal much like this one to compliment Maxey and Embiid. This is an executive who has firmly believed in the two star roster. Surrounding Embiid and Maxey with size, shooting and defensive versatility makes this trade a no-brainer for them.

For the Blazers, they get yet another future 1st(LAC) and a pick swap. They also free up cap space by getting 3 expirings.

Lastly the Raptors trade away OG, who's on an expiring contract as well as Boucher. They get some young talent to align better with Barnes and Dick as well as a future 1st(LAC). The Raps seem to be fooling themselves into thinking that they'll be able to make something of this season when they're actually better off tanking. Their own 1st round pick in 2024 belongs to the Spurs but is top 6 protected. Several of their best players are on expiring contracts including Siakam, Trent and as mentioned Anunoby. That pretty much spells out that they aim to be among the top 6 in the east or the season is a bust. Also their new HC, Rajakovic is known as a player development coach. Bringing in youth to this team would be a wise decision. And to land an unprotected future 1st, for a guy who could easily walk away in the off-season is as good as it gets. Most teams would probably look at OG as someone they can just sign as a free agent next year which most likely shrinks the market for him.
