This should be my final mock draft until we potentially see any real trades happen between now and the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft. There’s a lot to understand in this final mock. First things first, I 100% believe in the rumors of Darryn Peterson not wanting to land on the Utah Jazz, but at the same time we saw this same song and dance last year with Ace Bailey and look how it turned out. Danny Ainge doesn’t care, if he thinks you’re the best player on the board then he is going to draft you. Secondly, if this is going to be the last time we see the Dallas Maverick draft this high from their own draft picks then they need to shoot for the best player and pay a price to get the best player outside of the Top 4 with Darius Acuff Jr. A duo of Acuff and Cooper Flagg would be an incredible starting point for their rebuild. Plus the Brooklyn Nets seem to like Nate Ament and I don’t think it would be smart of Sean Marks to select him at 6 and should trade down if Ament is the player they truly want. Lastly, the big Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, might seem super unrealistic and I understand that. It might be my Spurs bias, but I really don’t care. I’m just throwing it out there and want to see what the opinion is on it, but if you aren’t satisfied with how ridiculous the trade is then the trade can be Giannis traded straight to the Heat and completely remove the Spurs from the deal. The Heat would obviously need to throw in more then what I already had put down, but that’s the price it would take for Giannis.
