This whole thing started from a simple post about the Spurs playing the Knicks on Christmas. I made a prediction that the Spurs were going to win, and then Katfan1 responded saying there’s a reason it was AI (https://fanspo.com/nba/s/knicks/p/i4Isj-mNGvuRR8/theres-a-reason-why-its-ai). I know we’ve gone back and forth a lot over this. I don’t have anything against you personally, and I don't think we need to keep arguing over which team is better. We’re both just supporting our teams. Chenis definitely added some more fuel to the fire (https://fanspo.com/nba/s/warriors/p/RqPKuiqH3fBG_B/if-your-gonna-support-a-team-just-dont-be-delusional-thanks) with the posts about Spurs fans and Wemby. I’m not gonna lie, some of it was funny, but I think we’ve taken the joke far enough.
And honestly, I wanna give the Knicks some credit too. The Knicks are a well-built team. They have a good roster and plenty of talented players. I can believe in my team while still admitting that the Knicks are a serious team.
And I’m not innocent either. I definitely said some things and made some posts that added to the beef instead of helping end it. I could’ve just ignored some of the comments, but instead I kept responding and the whole thing got bigger. So I’m not gonna sit here and act like I did absolutely nothing wrong. I played a part in keeping this going too.
I also don't think Spurs fans need to act like the Knicks are trash just because we’re confident in San Antonio. And Knicks fans don’t need to act like Spurs fans are crazy just because we think we can win. It’s basketball, we have different favourite teams, teams we don’t like as much. We can argue about players, teams, predictions, Wemby, Brunson, whatever, but there’s no reason for it to turn into actual hatred or nonstop posts attacking each other.
So this marks the end of the beef.
