My main takeaways of the last few days in the NBA

NBA 2025-26 Season: Opening Week Recap

The 2025-26 NBA season tipped off on October 21st. Here's what defined the first four days:

History Being Made

Luka's season Debut: In his first games in the season, Luka Dončić became the first player ever to open a season with back-to-back 40-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist performances. He dropped 43 and 49 points in his first two games, totaling 92 points and breaking Jerry West's 56-year-old Lakers record for points through two games.

Giannis Goes Nuclear: The Greek Freak posted the most dominant two-game start in NBA history: 68 points, 34 rebounds, and 12 assists. He's the first player ever to hit 60+ points, 30+ rebounds, and 10+ assists through a season's first two games.

Thunder's Start to the season: Oklahoma City made history by playing double overtime in both of their first two games—a first in NBA history. Defending MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with a career-high 55 points in the second game, helping OKC start 3-0.

Wemby has a real shot at MVP: in his first game against one of the best defensive front-courts in the NBA he managed to absolutely dominate them scoring 40. Next game against the the Pelicans and he showed us why he is the best defensive big man in the nba get 9 blocks! If he stays this dominant the whole season he will have an easy shot at MVP at the age of 21 becoming youngest MVP ever

Hot take of the Week

The Lakers Luka trade will backfire. Yes, he's putting up crazy numbers, but we are not sure if he will be consistent. When you need your point guard to drop 46 points per game just to stay competitive, you don't have a championship roster—you have a highlight reel with no supporting cast. So overall, the Luka trade was a loss for everyone.

10 likes and I’ll continue this next week Also my season predictions are dropping soon
