I recently presented a trade idea for a four team trade to improve the Spurs abysmal three point shooting with some marquee talent from New Orleans. This is my idea about how I think New Orleans and the Spurs could make a trade without bringing in a third or fourth team to try to make it work.

The trade is structured around the idea that San Antonio will primarily be giving NOP back its own picks, which NOP would likely prioritize. However, I also consider that NOP is apparently asking for a high price tag for Trey Murphy III. I figured two protected firsts would be the most that the Spurs would be willing to offer for non-super stars. Karlo is traded to the Spurs primarily so that NOP will stay within roster limits, while Barnes and Olynyk are traded alongside Sochan for salary purposes. I figure Sochan would be what New Orleans are really after, in terms of players, while the picks are what New Orleans desire the most here.
