The San Antonio Spurs, one of the most notoriously broke teams in the NBA (as seen by the fact that they have to play home games in another city), realized after the fact that they can’t afford Wemby’s well-deserved contract. As a result, the spurs have to trade him so at that point they make monster trades involving horndog and vassell plus a dump of Fox since their competitive window is out the door when Wemby does. Thankfully the spurs make out like bandits and have arguably the biggest sized team in the nba. Add in the fact that they can build around a guy in castle who’ll be considerably cheaper in the long run and the spurs will be fine.
