Spurs Trade Down With The Hornets, KD moves back to Texas

SUCCESS

Just spit balling here. For the Spurs Keeping Devin, keeping #14 are not listed here but are essentially part of the upside too. At #4 Spurs may take a variety of options. Maybe they are higher on Ace or Khaman than the rest of the league. Drafting Ace and bringing in KD to mentor him doesn't sound like a bad idea. Or, Khaman and Wemby could be scary for the rest of the NBA in a couple of years.

This could be wrong, but I heard rumors that Melo is being shopped this off season. So, the Hornets might see Harper and Miller as lighting in a bottle. If the Hornets have Harper evaluated as high as the consensus, then this seems like a smart move for a new Brandon Miller timeline.

Suns get new life with a chance to see what Devin Booker and Melo Ball can do together. They needed a center and get one with Mark Williams. Considering the Suns are getting Melo and the C they need, no further assets should be required in this part of the trade.

The 2027 Pick swap might be too much for the Hornets, but without it, this might not be enough for the Spurs. Otherwise, I think this works.
