Why the Spurs do it: A few glaring issues appeared during the Spurs Finals run which ended in a gentleman's sweep loss to the Knicks. They need players that have been there before, a consistent movement type shooter and solid 4. All 3 areas are addressed here as while the Pacers did not win the Finals, they forced the heavy favorite all season to 7 games with a chance to win after no one expected them to get to that stage in the first place.
