A trade that's been on my mind if the spurs either get really lucky and draft wemby number one or if they drop past scoot and get to that wing/forward section of the draft where it doesnt make sense to reach for another guard like black or wallace. if they get scoot this trade doesnt make sense as poole would take the ball out of his hands.

I think the warriors, if possible, are going to be very desperate to trade poole and kuminga for SERVICABLE help. every kuminga or poole trade i see from other teams fans make no sense as they're pick heavy or veterans way over the hill. i think this gives the warriors a young forward (aside from wiggins this is a glaring hole in their roster) who is ready and can play with their current core while being young enough to play out after steph, klay, and draymond. the warriors also get a little draft capital to make giving up on kuminga sting less. and to top it all off, the warriors remove $14 million off their cap making their tax bill a little more manageable.

the spurs would get a starting guard next to vassell immediately. while vassell isnt a lead guard, hes improved his playmaking enough that both he and poole playing side by side provides enough playmaking without having a true lead guard. poole gets to play with a bigger guard that could help hide him a bit on defense. kuminga gets to play in a situation where the team is still young and growing so he'll get the chance to feel his way out without feeling the immediate pressure of having to produce. if the spurs draft wemby, i could see a poole, vassell, sochan, kuminga, wemby starting lineup where sochan and kuminga are big and strong enough that when wemby needs it they could cover 5s to give him a break. the charlotte pick is a throw in as it seems like it wont translate until two summers from now when its two 2nds, and the atlanta pick is a pick swap rather than a straight up first rounder while the spurs keep the two other 1st round picks from the murray trade.
