Utah already got fined $500K. Sounds like they don’t plan to do anything until next year, but I wonder if they will continue to fine teams for sitting players to keep their picks? For me, tanking to improve your lottery chances is one thing. Someone pointed out the Thunder did that with Horton. I don’t care for that. When you have traded draft picks with protections on it and lose to keep those picks, that’s significantly worse IMO. I don’t understand why Presti or any team would agree to a deal that wouldn’t make the last year for that pick being a FRP with no restriction. If the Utah pick doesn’t convey this year, I’ve seen some sites say we get nothing and others say we get a SRP. Anyone know which is correct?
