CP3 is rumored to be wanting to sign near LA, however, the Thunder offer him a chance to retire in the city he started his career at, while chasing one last chance at a ring (a chance he won't have with the Lakers or Clippers). For OKC, it gives them more time to develop Topic or Ajay as the backup PG while giving them a legitimate backup PG to facilitate that they desperately needed at times last season.

Cam Johnson also comes in to replace Joe's minutes as the 6th man (small ball starter), with much needed size, and a proven ability to hit 3's when the Playoffs come around.
