I'm obviously an OKC fan. I won't deny that I want to see a Paul trade that does two things: give us the biggest return possible & give Paul the best shot at a title.
I believe Paul in Philly makes TONS of sense. He can space the floor. He is good in the clutch. He is able to defer and play off ball if needed. He is fantastic at facilitating offense. He is good even at his age at defense. He's a good leader. Must I go on? A core of Paul, Simmons, Embiid, and that supporting cast is an upgrade over this year.
I also believe this MIGHT be the most that OKC could possibly get back and even this move is a stretch. But getting back Harris is a massive contract that needs asset(s) attached. Getting Thybulle is a huge get on the wing and adding picks is icing on the cake.
This sends OKC into the offseason accomplishing the following: Giving Paul a new team still set up for success, handing Shai the keys to the point guard spot, keeping OKC flexible to make more changes, and adds multiple young talents to the team for next year.
