Memphis has too many players (20 until they waive Gibson if all trades were finalized), so upgrading in a 2-1 makes sense and to put more toughness around Cam Boozer by adding Dort/Stewart. This also doesn't touch the JJJ $28m TPE, so they can still make a large trade with that.

Charolette only has Coby White at PG, so a cheap flier on a bench PG is an easy decision.

OKC gets under the 2nd Apron, $220,883,926 salary, while taking a flier on a 4th year wing in Henricks who is expiring and a good bench 3pt shooter in Spencer, and adding 4 2nds for Dort/Topic. This still keeps OKC with 10 known solid rotation players, and all 5 deep bench players have high possible upside.
