I'm curious if you can trade a player with a Team Option on Draft Night. I think something like this would make sense for both the Thunder and Magic if so.

The Magic could just cut Isaac but it would cost them $7.6M and kind of be a dick move. Here they shed $12.8M ($2.6M more than cutting Isaac) in salary from a guy they really don't have room for when healthy at the cost of drafting a couple spots later in a draft with tons of talent 8-14, and get a 2nd round pick. This gives them the salary cap space to sign a much needed veteran guard in free agency. Gary Trent was more of less a placeholder, but they have $25-35M in cap space.

The Thunder get one of the best defenders in the league if healthy (big if) and at worst $18M in cap space waiting for Josh Giddy in 25-26. They also get to move up to the 7-9 spot from around 14 in the 23 draft for only a 2nd (they might even part with 2 2nd's) they already have too many of.
