My personal opinion

FIFA 15: My personal favorite Fifa. The first game I played after I switched from my PlayStation 3 to my PlayStation 4. The game's mechanics feel much more realistic and smoother compared to modern FC games, allowing for more realistic matches. The general UI is also a lot cleaner, and it also features the Mikel Arteta disappointment face (which is a great addition). Didn't get to experience to much ultimate team (only started playing FUT in like Fifa 17) but when I did go back and play the game during covid the Ultimate Team experience was pretty good. For career mode, it isn't as good as games like Fifa 06 but the overall experience makes it the best imo. Also forget to mention, but this revamped the squad formation and tactics UI from the list format into visual selections. Fifa Rating 10/10
FIFA 10: Probably one of my first Fifa's I ever played. Played Fifa 10 on the Ps2 not Ps3, so I didn't get to experience newer engine. Still one of my favorites as the gameplay and mechanics made the game genuinely enjoyable. Don't know what the Ultimate team side was like of the game but as someone who enjoys manager mode and just playing with friends and family, this game has to be up there as one of the greatest games of all time. Fifa Rating: 9.6/10
FIFA 17: Probably the last "Great" Fifa. Had some of the best features in Fifa Gaming, such as the journey and it introduced frostbite engine which allowed for the game to remain realistic and enjoyable with a modern feel unlike the FC games now which feel alot more arcade like. Also introduced SBC's I believe, and defending actually existed back then. Also small little thing which doesn't just apply to this fifa, but the tactical system back then allowed for custom formations which was just something really fun to do, and it's no longer available in the new tactical system. Ea should look to merge bth these systems imo, because games like FM do allow users to create custom formations, which isn't possible in FC anymore. Also another thing which only applies to me (or maybe some other people) but I did get me/my dad's Fifa 17 account hacked by entering our account details on a fake futties site so this "definitely" takes away from the overall score of the game Fifa Rating: 9.5/10
Great Games
FIFA Football 2004: This is one of the games that I have purchased recently. On my original PS2, I had played Fifa's 06-11 (and Fifa 02 for some reason), before moving to my PS3. I think football as a whole in 2004 may be the greatest thing to ever exist (wasn't alive to witness it 💔), but the game itself is a masterpiece. In Fifa 04, you can control players off-ball which is a great feature, it introduced a semi restricted version of Career Mode/Manager Mode and the ability to play Football Fusion (only game I believe has the ability to do so) made the game much more fun. Also the squads in this game are so fun to play with. The game doesn't actually feel to slow or to fast unlike most older games. Personally this is the type of game I can have a blast playing by myself or even with some friends over. Fifa Rating: 9/10
FIFA 12: Great balance from FIFA 10-FIFA 15 imo. The PS2 version isn't that good, but on the PS3 the game is near perfect. The gameplay feels relatively smooth and realistic without being too slow and it still has enough arcade elements to keep it fun. Career Mode is also really enjoyable, and the overall presentation feels better. Didn't play Ultimate Team but I have heard that it was really good. For me, FIFA 12 is one of those games where it's realistic enough to feel like football, but still enjoyable enough that you can play whenever you want. Fifa Rating: 8.8/10
FIFA Street Played the PS2 version so idk about the Ps3 version but the game is really fun. It is very different from the normal FIFA games, as the main focus is on street football, tricks and just having fun. It does do a lot of the things that volta football got wrong in newer games, where the game isn't just an addition to the Fifa games but a standalone game with it's own arcade style controls while not seeming childish (like the 2k playgrounds/battlegrounds) making it fun to play. Overall the whole street football atmosphere also makes it feel very different from the main FIFA games. Fifa Rating: 8.5/10
Above Average
FIFA 22: One of the last Fifa games that I consider to be above average. The three games before this where all pretty bad, though games like Fifa 20 did have some good features like having the ability to put icons in regular teams in kick off games, this Fifa managed to have a relatively interesting ultimate team, compared to the other games. At release the introduction of HyperMotion looked like the future of Fifa Gaming, however the patches slowly derailed the game 💔. I will say this, during the last 3 months of lockdown (in New Zealand Idk if y'all countries did lockdown or not) this game was PEAK! Can't say much about how the game was during 2022, but in 2021 when the game released it was definitely on track to be a top 5 fifa game of all time. Fifa Rating: 8/10
FIFA 06: One of the early fifa's I played. Not as enjoyable as Fifa 04, but the game remains realistic and fun to play. I would say that the World Cup version of Fifa 06 has to be one of the most fun games to play all time and it might be a top 5 Fifa game for me. Fifa 06 however is slower to play and less arcade like. If the game was a bit faster and easier I would say it would be better, but I feel like the game is harder to play compared to other Fifa titles. However long shots where op back then and it's a reason why the game is ranked as high as it is. Fifa Rating: 7.9/10 FIFA 09: Similar to Fifa 10 in a sense, but the game feels less polished on the Ps2 (obviously). I would expect a greater difference on the Ps3 but I have never played either on the console so I can not speak about that. Only reason for this being so far below fifa 10 to me would just be because of the fact Fifa 10 feels better (idk if there is an actual difference since visually they look similar but on hand I prefer Fifa 10) Fifa Rating: 7.9/10
FIFA Street 2: Only played Ps2 version. Game feels similar, but the camera angle is a lot worse. Visually it is an improvement, but it drops off on the arcade feel and becomes slightly worse. Still a good game though. Fifa Rating: 7.7/10
FC 24: The only FC game so far to be considered above average. Gameplay wise games are likely to end with a scoreline of 3-2 instead of the 5-4 we see now. A small thing which doesn't affect alot of people, was this was the last game where there wasn't a limit on custom create a players (GET RID OF THE LIMIT EA!!!). I recently recreated the 2012 season in the game for the top 5 leagues and let me tell you, it's absolute 🔥. Please EA return to the simple face creation format and remove the limits. Fifa Rating: 7.5/10
FIFA 18: Overshadowed by Fifa 17 imo, but still an absolute 🔥game. The world cup mode was good despite it not being a separate standalone game (at least I saved $ but still). The ultimate team scene was great and career mode was decent. Also included the journey which is a great bonus. If Fifa 17 was never made I do believe this game would be much better regarded, but it's never easy to succeed a game like Fifa 17. Fifa Rating: 7.5/10
FIFA 08: Another older Fifa Game. I feel like from Fifa 08 - 10 we see the gradual improvement, as each title improves. I don't think this game does anything that can be considered "bad" but the lack of responsiveness on the Ps2 version compared to Fifa 10, has it just seem as a relatively unpolished version. Despite all of that it remains as an enjoyable game which I'm happy to pick and play at anytime. Fifa Rating: 7.1/10
FIFA 13: Released right after Fifa 12 it is a slight downgrade as Fifa 12 just had a better overall balance between the gameplay, presentation and features. Fifa 13 doesn't reach the same level for me. The gameplay is still enjoyable and it kept a lot of what made FIFA 12 enjoyable. Fifa Rating: 6.8/10

FC 26: Not as bad as everyone seems to say it is. The power curve in ultimate team has been a lot better than previous years, the newer Frostbite game engine makes the game feel more like air hockey than football. If Ea manage to fix the unrealistic gameplay and deliver on the upcoming Career Mode changes, I think FC 27 has potential to be an above average game, but so far only FC 24 is worthwhile to play for the FC game titles released. Fifa Rating: 6.4/10
FIFA 11: Released in between Fifa 10/12, Fifa 11 just can't maintain the high standards of the game. The career mode was horrendous but the gameplay was still better than what we have today imo. The game can be enjoyable, but it's not something I can see myself going back to play for a long period of time. Fifa Rating: 6/10
FIFA 23: The last ever Fifa game and to be honest, I think after how the game was it deserved to end. It still had a world cup mode, but it was a huge disappointment to be completely honest. The game, remained the same since Fifa 20 and it felt necessary to abandon the fifa name in order for some change. For the ultimate team side, the new chemistry system was dogshit, and it showcased how bad the game actually was. Fifa Rating: 5.5/10
FIFA 2005 One of the older Fifa games I played on the PS2, and honestly it's a pretty decent game. Didn't play it when I was really young, so I don't have any "nostalgia" tied to it. It doesn't feel as good as FIFA 04 or FIFA 06 imo, but it still has that classic PS2 Fifa feel which makes it enjoyable to go back to. The gameplay is a little slower and more difficult to get into compared to the later games, but once you get used to it, it's still pretty fun. Fifa Rating: 5.5/10
Below Average
FIFA World Cup 2002 Good game, much better than Fifa 02 (surprisingly), but pre Fifa 04 I wouldn't say the games were games that you could still pick and play today. The Fifa 02 WC isn't as good as the 06 version imo, but the game is still fun to play. Fifa Rating: 5.2/10
FIFA 14: I've played this game on both the Ps2 and Ps3, and it's super unresponsive, laggy, extremely slow and unrealistic (unlike the extremely fast unrealism now), and not fun to play. Sometimes I just feel the difference between Fifa 15 and 14 to realize the potential of innovation in a one year span. From a game that might've been one of the worst at it's time to one of the best. Career mode also sucked (subjective to opinion) and I haven't extensively played it, but I've heard the 2014 world cup version was better on Ps3, which is probably true. The only thing good about this game is it's soundtrack. Fifa Rating: 5/10
FIFA 16: Released after Fifa 15, before Fifa 17. Bad timing, but the game's UI just wasn't good enough imo. Also the graphics feels worse (Idk what exactly changed, but it's not good enough). Game drops off on realism compared to Fifa 15 and just feels sluggish (which is unrealistic because not every footballer runs like Peter Crouch) Fifa Rating: 4.75/10
FIFA 20: Had some fun mechanics, and the introduction of Volta was a cool feature to play around with. But for the ultimate team side of the game it was a whole lot of nothing. I think one of the main reasons fifa's from, Fifa 19-21 sucked was due to a lack of advancement, causing it to be inevitably overshadowed by fortnite. They also removed the journey, which "angered" a lot of people, but imo the journey was rubbish in Fifa 19 and deserved some type of rebrand rather than being removed fully but I can't be to mad considering the game mode failed badly in Fifa 19. Fifa Rating: 4.5/10
FIFA 07: Probably the worst Fifa from, 06-10. Not a bad game, but definitely a forgettable one. If the game was a bit faster, and easier it would've been more enjoyable but I didn't think that it was as good as any of the other titles. Also career mode was not as good imo. Fifa Rating: 4.5/10
Pretty Bad
FIFA 21: No advancements made from Fifa 20 gameplay wise. Only good thing this game had was it's career mode, but it never offered anything worthwhile falling inferior to prime fortnite. Fifa Rating: 4/10
FIFA 2002: Had this game as a kid, and remembered hating it back then. Still have this game now and still remember hating it. Pes 2 is a better alternative, as Fifa 02 is just a low quality playstation game, and a high quality arcade game. Fifa Rating: 3.5/10
EA Sports FC 25: Stupid gameplay, Stupid Ai, Stupid Corners, Stupid Patches, Stupid Lag, Stupid Rebound Goals, Stupid Game!!! Fifa Rating: 3/10
Rubbish
FIFA 19: The unanimous worst fifa of all time. I could write a whole book on how bad this game was. This game made me switch over from playing Fifa to play Fortnite. To summarize Fifa 19, was absolute dogshit because ea decided to send defending to go bring milk with my dad, making headers have a 100% chance of going in, overpowered skill moves, rebound goals, match rigging, overpowered 4231, no on ball pace, shitty career mode, red cards given for blowing on a player, shitty servers, and the fifa 19 La Croqueta... By far the worst fifa ever made... Fifa Rating: 0/10
