Why Did We Trade Nick Saylor?

As I have been made a topshot mod, I’m going to try to make a weekly wiffleball post. I just watched the diamondbacks vs cobras and dang. Nick Saylor. 2 hrs, 4 rbis. We traded him for a future first rounder and it ended up being the 8th (last) pick in the draft. We then traded that pick for a 2027 top 4 protected pick. So let me get this straight, we traded a possible all-star in Nick Saylor for a conditional pick that we only get if it’s 5 through 8?!? Why?!? What could possibly merit something that freaking stupid?!? This isn’t the first time we’ve done this either. In like 2022 or 23, we traded the 3rd overall pick to the Magic for Liam Jackson; a known benchwarmer. He was a bench warmer at the time, and he is a benchwarmer now. Don’t get me wrong, I like Liam Jackson. He’s a good, fun player. The problem is that with the 3rd pick the Magic selected RJ Walgate. Hasn’t missed an all-star game, (including his rookie year) Co-Roty, and now captain of the metro magic. He would be our best player. I love Patrick Baalman but RJ Walgate would be our future. The Wildcats are a dumb franchise.
