NBA Fans, Let Me Introduce You To My Favorite Sport: Football (Not Soccer)

Alright NBA fans, listen up.

I know you already have one of the greatest sports in the world. You have insane rivalries, legendary players, crazy fans and people ready to defend their team like they are getting paid for it.

So honestly... I think you are ready for football.

And before you say: "Wait, football? The one with helmets?"

No. 😂

I mean football. The sport where 22 players chase one ball, a guy can become a hero for an entire city with one goal, and millions of people can have their whole week ruined because of 90 minutes.

In my completely unbiased opinion (I'm obviously lying, I am very biased), football is the greatest sport ever created.

But what makes football special is not only the game.

It's the passion.

You NBA fans already understand this. You know what it means to love a team.

But there is one small difference...

If someone tells an NBA fan: "The Cavs are trash."

You might argue. You might explain why your team is better. You might bring up stats. Then you go back to your normal life.

A football fan?

Different species. 😂

If someone tells me: "Real Madrid has 15 Champions Leagues."

I am not going to just say "okay."

No.

I am preparing a 4-hour presentation with history, statistics, controversial moments and things that happened before I was even born.

Nobody asked for it.

Nobody wanted it.

But you are getting it. 😂

Because football fans don't just support their teams.

We become lawyers, historians and sometimes psychologists for our clubs.

Now, before you enter the football world, there are some important rules:

Rule #1: Barcelona is the greatest club of all time. This is not an opinion, this is a fact... according to me. 😂

Rule #2: Lionel Messi is the GOAT. If you disagree, I respect your opinion... but I also think you are wrong.

Rule #3: If I hear you say Real Madrid is the greatest team ever, I might have to block you. (Respectfully.)

Rule #4: Barcelona's 2009 and 2011 teams were football perfection. You can argue, but I already prepared my speech.

Rule #5: If someone tells you Messi vs Ronaldo is a normal debate, prepare yourself for a very long conversation.

Rule #6: Never underestimate a Barcelona fan saying "we are coming back next season." We say it every year. 😂

Rule #7: If you become a football fan, you need one thing: a team to love and rivals to annoy.

Rule #8: It's football. Not soccer. Yes, I know America already uses the word football. We will survive this discussion. 😂
