We can all agree that the Raptors have been a huge disappointment this season. Here are some things I have in mind that can turn them in the right direction

  1. Trade for Myles Turner: Pascal Siakam has been struggling this season. Last year and the year before that, Siakam was not struggling like he is this year, and during those two years, Siakam had two different Centers that could play defense and provide floor spacing: Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol. If they trade for Turner, they will get a player that can also play really good defense and can space the floor. Turner is someone that complements Siakam very well, and I feel like Siakam could do better if someone like Turner is in the frontcourt next to him. I am assuming that the package above would be the ideal package that the Raptors would offer. If the Pacers counteroffer with Boucher instead of Baynes, then I am sure that both sides would agree.

  2. Let Kyle Lowry walk: The Raptors have expressed interest in getting rid of Kyle Lowry, and his cap hold will be very large. Letting Lowry walk will clear more cap space for the future, and it will allow the Raptors to get younger. I believe that if this were to happen, the Knicks would make sense, as Immanuel Quickley is a young combo guard, and Lowry can help develop Quickley and all the other young guys.

  3. Fix the bench: The Raptors were near the bottom in bench points, and getting some players that can score can be very beneficial for them. I believe that the Raptors should sign McDermott or THJ(or even both) to bring some good shooting/scoring off the bench, which is much needed.

  4. Bring back Gary Trent: Gary Trent has a lot of potential, and he is developing into a star. I believe that Trent should be a part of the future plans for this team, and I am very high on him. There is no reason that they shouldn't bring him back because of the potential he has as a basketball player.

IMPORTANT NOTE: MCDERMOTT AND TRENT WILL OBVIOUSLY WANT MORE MONEY, I JUST FELT TOO LAZY TO CHANGE THE CONTRACTS

These moves would give themselves a pretty decent squad:

Freddy-Trent-OG-Siakam-Turner with a bench of Flynn-THJ-McDermott-Boucher/Baynes(whichever one they end up keeping)
