Just doing something original and going to make some really interesting predictions for the NFL to move some games around. It’s too late for Week 15.
Week 16
Broncos Chargers was already flexed into Thursday Night Football…for the first time ever. Texans-Chiefs and Steelers-Ravens all have to play on Wednesday Christmas, so they won’t be moved. But could the Buccaneers Cowboys Sunday Night Football game be flexed out of the 5:20 slot? I know I’ll hear that “it’s the Cowboys!” And unfortunately, it probably won’t be flexed. Eagles-Commanders was already a Thursday night game earlier in the year, Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will call the 49ers-Fins game, and the Seahawks host this upcoming SNF game. So probably not, unfortunately. The rest of week 16 Sunday sucks.
Edit: Flex was…Pats-Bills moved to 4:25??? That makes no sense unless the NFL wants everyone to see Josh Allen. Love the dude, but like the Pats are horrible. Why didn’t they flex the Eagles-Commanders into the 1:25 slot for fox’s game of the week? It couldn’t be flexed to SNF cause they played on Thursday, but I don’t understand that.
Week 17
This is the big one. There are 5 games in contention for Saturday football, and I think the games will be Broncos-Bengals (10:00), Cardinals-Rams (1:30), and Falcons-Commanders (5:15). Chargers-Pats and Colts-Giants will be 10:00 Sunday. The Fins-Browns SNF game is basically a lock to be flexed out of SNF, and the game that will take its place I predict will be the Packers-Vikings game, slated for 10:00. The Cowboys-Eagles game could be replaced in theory…but by who?
Edit: the NFL released their flexes. The Sunday schedule will be: Chargers-Pats (10:00), Broncos-Bengals (1:30), Cardinals-Rams (5:00) all on NFL Network. The Falcons-Commanders game that was also in contention for Saturday, is being flexed to Sunday Night Football (5:20), as the Dolphins-Browns game will move down to 1:05 time slot. I like the Falcons-Commies game on SNF, as both teams could maybe get into the playoffs. The Packers-Vikings game, I realized is a protected Fox game, but it could still be moved to the 1:25 Slot over Cowboys-Eagles. We’ll see
Week 18.
Completely Up in the air. But I’m going to make a bold prediction and say that the Vikings-Lions game will either be SNF, or Saturday Night Football on ESPN. It could not only be for the NFC North, but the #1 seed in the conference, assuming both teams win out till then. Assuming the Seahawks-Rams game is for the NFC West title, that game should also be one to be flexed into a national TV slot. If the Bengals win out and get to 8-8, they might still be in the playoff race, especially if they can beat Denver, I think the Bengals Steelers game could be slotted into national TV,
