Back in 2019, Aaron Rodgers had an absolutely awful season. He was looking to be washed. So the Packers did the logical thing and drafted another quarterback, Jordan Love, the following draft. Well this did not fail to motivate Rodgers, and he won back to back MVPs. I think you can see what I'm getting at here. I'm not saying that Dak will win back to back MVPs, but this could light a fire under him. Lance is completely unproven, and has only thrown 420 passes in college and the pros. This means he could have a lot of untapped potential. He has a lot of athletic traits that are unteachable. However his accuracy has looked awful, and his progression looks rushed and crazed. With all this said, getting a former 3rd overall quarterback who has played a few games in the NFL for a fourth round pick is an amazing deal. The Cowboys now have a great young backup quarterback who could be the future franchise quarterback at his peak.
