Hello, forum members!
I think a lot of people are wondering: do we even need an antivirus nowadays? After all, Windows has long ago built in a defender, browsers have learned to block suspicious sites, and most threats are now associated not with viruses, but with phishing and data leaks.
On the other hand, threats haven't gone away: Trojans, keyloggers, encryptors - all of these can still cause a lot of problems. Especially if you are actively downloading files, using pirated software or visiting questionable sites.
Personally, I think that antivirus is necessary, but not for everyone. If you are an experienced user, do not click on suspicious links, do not download files from unverified sources and monitor the security of your data, then the built-in Windows protector may be enough. But if your computer is used by children, parents or you just want additional protection - an antivirus will not be superfluous.
What do you think? Do you use an antivirus or rely on your own caution?…
