Spurs need Poeltl as a strong defensive center so things don’t fall apart when Wemby is off the floor or can be played as twin towers. Poeltl is perfect to bang with the Joker or AD freeing up Wemby to play his game. This is what is needed as they push into playoff position and Wemby wants to win and not build. Spurs have 4 FRPs in this draft and get rid of two contracts they want off the books. Raptors willing to lose their starting center for the picks….

Spurs gain depth for a playoff push. An experienced center who can stretch the floor and passes well to give Wemby rest minutes. And a great lockdown POA defender. The cost is a protected FRP in which they have 4 FRP in the next draft….

Who says no? Grizzlies get Jimmy and a big. Raptors take on some salary but get the young center they’re looking for and swap the Indy pick for a 2025 FRP. Heat get 2 FRP a second and expiring contracts- will they get more for Jimmy from someone else?…

Why Pelicans do this: With Zion’s injury history this is the most they can hope for. Also with Ingram most likely leaving MPJ would be a huge lift to starting lineup.
Why Denver do this: Something needs to change and MPJ seems most likely to go. Three expiring contracts (35 million) opens up huge potential for a big acquisition. Also the chance to renegotiate Bruce Brown who the fan base love.
Why the Raptors do this: Reunite RJ with Zion. Take a risk on Zion’s health without hurting the core. Moving forward with a starting 5 of Scottie, IQ, RJ, Zion, Jak. With a bench of Shead, Jakobe, Dick, Mogbo, Chomche , Battle plus a high 2025 draft pick….

Who says no? Denver can renegotiate with Bruce Brown and open up a tonne of cap space to go shopping this summer. Wizards add Porter Jr. Raps add a proven scorer….

Why the Raptors do this: Brooks brings the POA D, 3pt shooting, and overall attitude needed for the starting 5. His contract is manageable and descending over the next three years. Raptors go: IQ, RJ, Brooks, Scottie, Yak which I think makes the playoffs in the East. We develop the supporting cast and draft picks.
Why the Rockets do this: Brown is a ball handler (needed for Hou) and can be the “glue guy” missing to bring this young talented roster together. He is an expiring contract opening up 23 million in cap space for the Rockets after this season which will be vital. The Rockets have Amen Thompson and now Reed Sheppard to easily take Brooks starting spot. The Raptors throw in a second round pick for good measure.

Derozan sign and trade to Lakers. Bulls get off of Levine’s contract as well. Raptors get off of Bruce, Boucher and sign and trade Gary. Raps end up with an expensive bucket getter- could this work? Thoughts?…

Sixers control the second round and pick Bronny James at #31 and get Lebron on a two year deal. They also get Brown who works best when deferring to stars and being the scrappy defensive glue guy on a contender. Philly has the cap space to do this and Maxey and Embiid in the East with Lebron is the easiest possible route for Lebron to try and get his son a ring before he retires. Raps open up cap space to sign IQ, extend Scottie and pick up pieces in FA (Jalen Smith? Obi Toppin? PWill?) and draft #16 and #19, which is filled with options. All based off of the very fuzzy pic of Lebron having lunch with Sixers brass circulating on Twitter….

Raptors go against the grain as usual; everyone pulls away from this weak flat draft and the Raptors dive head first into it. With 6 picks Raps can take some swings on some prospects that may be developed into something special.
Draft 19-Flipowski 24- Eddy 31- Kolek 39-Djurisec 41-Chomche 58-Mogbo
Training Camp really gives Darko an idea of what he’s got and the big questions arise: who fills the front court? Is Eddy ready? Does Kelly crack the starting lineup? Who wins the battle for back up PG Bones or Kolek? PG - IQ; SG- RJ; SF - Scottie; but after that it gets interesting; who stays and who goes to the 905?

Yak to Grizz makes sense, instead of #9 what if Raps get back quantity over quality? Does this work? Thoughts…

Bruce Brown as Ying to Maxey’s Yang as the 76ers backcourt. McDaniels as a bench wing. Raps get #16 in this years draft to go with #19 and 31. Jeff gets a re-do in the 6. Thoughts?…

Raptors decline the Team option and renegotiate a 4 year deal worth 15 mil a year then trade Bruce and Boucher to Jazz for Collins and the #10 pick (I know it looks like the 29 pick but for some reason Fanspo doesn’t have the Utah #10 pick listed).
Why? Raptors want another pick in this draft and with #10 can get who they want instead of hoping they fall to #19. They do have to pay Collins huge salary for two seasons (or use him in another big trade- Yak?). They stop paying Boucher to sit on the bench because he and Darko can’t coexist, and we have pick #10,#19,#31. Why? Jazz are rumoured to want to trade the pick to give Markinnen win now players and Bruce is a plug and play championship piece. They get off of Collins contract and Boucher can be a good bench piece on an expiring….
