Unless the Nuggets want to REALLY get drastic and trade Murray, the big move is getting off of the MPJ contract and splitting it into multiple depth pieces and more defensive-focused players.
Heat get the best and youngest player here. Who says no?…

Just hear me out.
Jordan Poole Bilal Coulibaly Cooper Flagg Kevin Durant Alex Sarr
Wizards make a semi win-now culture move without mortgaging any of the future and KD retires in DC, helps his legacy a bit. Maybe makes an ECF with his hometown team.
Suns get two nice building block pieces (AJ Johnson and Kispert, under team control), Middleton helps them stay competitive and they get all of those picks back from the Beal trade.
Odds are the Suns would ask for Coulibaly/ Sarr/ Carrington etc, which is an auto no if I'm the Wizards.
But hard to truly know what the trade value will be for a 37 y/o KD, so lmk what you gusy think….

Claxton probably would require an extra pick/ young guy, but if I'm GS I'd rather go get him than Vucevic. Better defensively, younger, under contract for more years….

I will never give up on the Zion dream. And specifically pairing him with a shotblocker who can stretch the floor.
Spurs aren't really mortgaging the future, they still own a ton of draft capital and young players but take a swing on an all-nba caliber player who fits the timeline.

Lakers get a legit big + buy low on Kispert, a wing shooter with size on an affordable deal
Raptors get Rui and that 2031 swap
Wizards get two 2nds

Alright hear me out:
Heat start a soft rebuild post-Jimmy, turn Bam (who's having a down year) into Turner and significant draft capital. The emergence of Kel'el Ware also opens up moving Bam as a possibility.
Pacers have been pretty open that they probably won't resign Turner, so they turn him into Lively, their new center of the future for Haliburton. Klay is a nice shooter.
Mavs make a win-now move, add Bam to their core of Luka/ Kyrie/ PJ Washington. They get better now….

Reportedly De'Aaron Fox has a target destination in mind for 2026 free agency and therefore the Kings are going to explore trading him.
I think it's gotta be Miami. Bigger market than Sacramento, Bam Adebayo is his teammate from college, Tyler Herro also from the Kentucky program, they have an opening at PG and will have money if they trade Jimmy.

A historic blockbuster if the Warriors decide to restart. Hear me out:
Nuggets get Steph w/o giving up Murray. Insane firepower in the backcourt
Pistons get hometown guy Draymond + Strawther for some extra shooting off the bench. Legit playoff push.
Warriors get MPJ, Stewart, Holmes, 3 first + a couple of expiring contracts.

Nets reportedly want two 1sts for Cam Johnson, but I think Ron Holland + a swap is even better than two random future late 1sts.
Don't love trading away Holland already, but this objectively make the Pistons better now and for the forseeable future, especially given Holland is sorta in a log jam with Ivey and Ausar.

Rockets make a legit title push with KD, give up two players (Jabari and Tari) who they prob can't re-sign in FA anyways
Blazers add Jabari to their core, get off the Grant contract and pick up a 1st
Suns turn KD into way more depth and defense, plus get their three first rounders back

Not the first person to have this idea but like… why wouldn't the Sixers and Heat swap their older, overpaid star wings?
Philly reportedly tried to trade for Jimmy this offseason before going after PG
Jimmy and Embiid are good friends, would also hopefully light a fire under Embiid
Heat get the slightly younger player under team control for three more years, they're able to remain competitive (which has clearly been their goal)…

Kings replace Fox with AB and three firsts while sending their star out East (instead of keeping him in the West with Houston/ San Antonio).

I know Jimmy says he wants the Mavs, Rockets, Warriors or Suns.
But the Grizzlies are 17-8, 2nd in the West (while dealing with multiple injuries) and absolutely in the 2nd tier of contenders after Boston/ OKC.
Jimmy would help their half court scoring, perfectly slot in at the 3 and he fits in with the culture in Memphis (not to mention, he's a big country music guy, Nashville is right there lol).
PG: Ja Morant SG: Des Bane SF: Jimmy Butler PF: Jaren Jackson Jr C: Edey Bench: Scotty Pippen Jr, Jaylen Wells, Jay Huff, Vince Williams, Santi Aldama
Heat get three solid role players all on tradeable contracts, plus a talented young player in GG Jackson and a future first.

REPORT FROM SHAMS: The Heat are open to listening to offers for Jimmy Butler, league sources told ESPN, and the six-time All-Star is believed to prefer a win-now contender in any trade.
I really have no clue what Jimmy's trade value is at age 35 but… who says no?…
