The idea is a sign and trade of Wood and thj for gafford and a sign and trade of kuzma. Kuzma should replace the offensive production of Wood and Hardaway while Gafford offers a better rim protector version of Dwight Powell. Might need to add a protected first to get it done….

Jazz trade Mitchell and get out of the tax, while getting two first round picks from last year, a top 7 pick this year, the better of the Cleveland and indi 23 pick, and replace the lost 24 pick. Indi has a core of Mitchell, Turner and haliburton….

Don't know how many picks it would take, but Mitchell with turner and hali would be nasty….

Detroit frees up cap space to sign two 23 year olds with a history of production that both fit next to Cade. Blazers get a starter at the 4 for the upcoming season for only 2 seconds. Wizards get the best player in the desk for what would be the player replaced by the guy you're trading for and last year's first that hasn't done much yet. Also it says lottery protected, I'd probably do something like lottery protected, if it doesn't convey then it's two seconds. Also sign Rubio because he's a perfect fit for a team that if healthy (big if) has a starting 5 of Rubio Beal kcp grant and KP….

I did this from a wizards perspective, by bringing in Simmons and Turner the wizards would have a very good 4-5 combo. Neither player has to play the rest of the season with the hope of tanking down to a top 7 pick where the hope would be to come away with Jaden ivy. They could then go for the same deal for buddy hield that the Lakers were going to do giving a starting 5 of Turner Simmons KCP hield and ivy. Could also start deni over KCP…

Rumor has it Indi is looking for a similar deal to what the magic got for Gordon which was RJ Hampton and a 25 first. Mavs also have an issue paying brunson and DFS after this season so getting off THJ and Powell seems best. Pacers get a young player in Flynn plus a first and a second. Dragic isn't even playing, and Flynn isn't seeing meaningful minutes for Toronto and they need shooting…

Don't think this would be the end product of a trade, but could be the base. Maybe do this trade near the deadline with the idea of trading Jonas in the off-season for guard help…

I feel like THJ and lavert have around the same value trade wise, lavert is a better player but THJ being on a declining deal makes it about a wash. Powell is bad enough and cost enough to have to give up this years second. Turner is worth at least two firsts but with them having to be in 25 and 27 throwing in Josh green is about as good as a late first….

Why the Mavs do it: While KP has shown more this year, he's still not the second piece for Luka, Ave is very injury prone. KP doesn't have the rim protection abilities to make this team a better defensive team. A closing lineup with Siakum at the 5 can create a switch everything defense that can really help some of the poorer defenders on the Mavs, especially if they run maxi and dfs. This gives Luka a lot of room to create while adding another scorer that we know can play second fiddle on a championship team. Why the Raptors do it: Siakum has a lot of overlap with Scottie Barnes and has less years of team control and is far more expensive. All of KP's faults are helped by playing on a defense that has probably the best point of attack defensive talent with guys like FVV OG and Scottie. They also could use a spacer like KP on the floor with Barnes lack of shooting. I think KP is a better fit long term, while adding some draft flexibility, getting a young talent like green, and saving 6…

This obviously probably isn't enough for Simmons, but the idea is they already have a team created for a guy that can't shoot so adding in Russ isn't that bad for the 76ers. They also would have a very large salary they could trade with the picks to get that star they want in the off-season. Lakers reasons for doing this are obvious, with Russ only being able to fit if AD is at the 5 and they just don't have enough shooting around that. They can run a closing lineup of lebron AD Buddy Green and Melo or Kelly. Kings get their guy without giving up fox or hali and the Pistons take a flyer on a former top pick to go with their young core. The kings are the most interesting team for this as they could run some very good small ball lineups with Simmons at the 5….

Start off by saying will never happen. Why Dallas does it: KP and Christian wood are very similar players with KP having more range as a shooter and wood being a different style of defender and slightly better rebounder. That being said wood doesn't have this idea that he should be the number one option while playing with Luka. Add in the addition of a starting caliber guard in John wall and the playmaking he provides is something Dallas desperately needs. They would run closing lineups of wall Luka hardaway dfs and wood which should be a very good switch heavy defensive scheme with the ability to have some very creative offense (wall Luka 5 out pnr). This also makes them no longer subject to the stiepin rule and gives them more flexibility to trade draft picks.

Why Houston does it: Wall isn't playing and is just costing money at this point. Porzingis is still a young and can be exciting player. They are taking on about 8 million in total, but spreading it out over three years instead…

So it's now known that Philly will take CJ in a Simmons trade, but they wanted 3 picks and 3 pick swaps. I believe that 2 pick and 2 swaps is probably as good of an offer they would get. Portland now has a defensive closing 5 of dame norm Nance Covington and Simmons which will be very tough to score on with Dame and Simmons running pick and roll to end games. Dallas seems set on playing KP at the 4 so swapping one injury prone center for a better injury prone center makes sense, while also allowing Bronson more usage with the second unit….

A Simmons and Turner pairing is easily a top 10 defense, if not top 3, philly gets a ball handler and they get below the tax. Stock on Simmons has fallen and teams know they have to move him. Derek white is a very good player on both sides of the ball and lamb adds another wing to the team. Spurs get a very good player that should fit their system perfectly…
