Jaden Springer’s spot on the roster is a bit of a problem. His contact of 4 million dollars is fully guaranteed, and he’s not shown any flashes in this preseason of cracking the rotation. If the Celtics were to make a move like this, they would save about 2 million dollars in salary and if they were to cut Butler, they would free up 2 roster spots, one of which would surely go to Lonnie Walker. Walker is a proven rotational player, and signing him after this would still leave the 15th roster spot open….

Delon Wright is an elite perimeter defender who would add to our already menacing gauntlet of guard defense, as well as a capable ball handler and playmaker. Would fit perfectly alongside Pritchard in the backcourt off the bench. Also a potential welcome back to Mike Muscala lol…

Fontecchio has been very solid for Utah this season, scoring almost 9 ppg on 40% from 3 in 20 minutes, including 14 starts. He would share minutes nicely with Sam Hauser off the bench as another 6’8 floor-spacing 3/4. Konchar would be a good edition simply because of his hustle, as rebounding and defending above his size as a 6’5 SG. While neither of these guys would play major playoff minutes, they’d both be upgrades over our current bench and could probably see the floor a bit more during the rest of the regular season….
