Comparisons to past and present NBA players are meant to demonstrate realistic best-case scenarios (ceiling), likely prime (likely peak), and worst-case scenarios (floor). These comparisons are more of a projection of how good they can become looking at players who share similarities.
Their floor projection shows a similar comparison if they make little improvement
Likely Peak projection is my opinion of their most likely scenario in terms of how good they will be in their prime
Ceiling projection shows how good they could be if their development goes perfectly
These aren’t exact comparisons, but they're useful in demonstrating the kind of player each prospect could resemble in the NBA. For the top 5 picks, I elaborated more on what specifically I think the floor, likely peak, and ceiling would realistically look like, going in-depth on how their career would likely pan out and providing some rationale for the comparisons I made.
For the 2md round picks, I simply highlighted one player who I feel is their closest comparison in terms of playstyle, athleticism, size, etc. These comparisons don't necessarily mean they will be as good as their comparison, just that they will likely play similarly.
Ultimately, this big board is not a guarantee of which prospects are going to be the best, but rather a ranking of who I believe are the one’s most worth taking a shot on, based on their potential and how likely I feel they are to reach it.
