Anthony Edwards is probably the best scorers in this draft, but he is a lot to learn if he wants to be successful.

"Powerful guard with elite length and explosiveness. Tough to contain
especially in transition. Strong first step and bouncy off one or two feet in space. Embraces contact in the paint."
"Powerful driving to the rim; when he initiates contact
defenders bounce off him. Finishes with athleticism and displays soft touch with either hand."
"Dynamic shot-maker off the dribble; he fluidly transitions from complex dribbles
spins
and hesitations into pull-ups
stepbacks
and side steps."
"A freight train in transition; though his shot selection was iffy at Georgia
wide-open spacing in the NBA could lead to far more shots at the rim."
"Solid passer. Doesn’t possess elite court vision
and tends to react rather than create opportunities for teammates
but he can execute basic reads to shooters and cutters."
"Potentially a super-versatile defender thanks to his rare blend of size
strength
and agility."
"Explosive athlete and leaper"
"One of youngest prospects in this class
and got into basketball late"
"Incredible shot-creation ability off the dribble"
"Good frame and strength given his youth"
"Long-term potential to grow into reliable offensive initiator with scoring upside"
"Still learning how to play on both ends. Decision-making is a work in progress. Tends to settle for contested jumpers rather than using his physicality to get all the way to the rim. Still learning how to play with elite players. Reputation for inconsistency in his production."
"Not a pure shooter; he settles for jumpers even against mismatches
which is especially frustrating for a player with his size and strength."
"Best suited to be in a multiple-ball-handler system next to a pass-first player because of his underwhelming playmaking instincts."
"Inconsistent effort. At times he plays hard by cutting
running up the floor
and crashing the boards. But then he’ll disappear—teams will need to do extensive background to gauge his mentality."
"Despite his athleticism
he struggles as an off-ball defender
lacking focus and often losing track of his man."
"Fundamentals and effort must improve while defending on-ball; lockdown flashes are mired by far too many moments of apathy."
"Questionable shot selection; often settled for shots at Georgia"
"Touch-and-go defensive motor"
"Volume scoring didn''t significantly impact winning in college for mediocre UGA team"
"Mike Schmitz", "Kevin O''Conner", "CBS Sports"
NBA COMPARISON - DWAYNE WADE. DONOVAN MITCHELL. KOBE BRYANT
Anthony Edwards is probably the best scorers in this draft, but he is a lot to learn if he wants to be successful.
Floor: Andrew Wiggins: An inefficient scorer with very limited passing/playmaking. Poor defender who lacks focus and effort. A starting-caliber player but fails to reach his star potential.
Likely Peak: Victor Oladipo: A good two-way player who takes time to develop but eventually becomes a star. Uses his elite athleticism to be a menace on defense and an elite finisher. Still only an average passer, and better suited to be a team''s sidekick/secondary star. All-star caliber player and borderline all-defensive team in his prime.
Ceiling: 6''3 Vince Carter/lesser Dwyane Wade: An incredible athlete who makes highlight plays on the regular. Capable of scoring from 3, mid-range, and in the paint at a high-level. Similar size and playstyle to Wade, but not as gifted of a passer. A great on-ball defender - not as good defensively as Wade but perhaps a little better than Carter. A borderline superstar in his prime and all-defensive player.
Anthony Edwards compares to Dwayne Wade, Zach Lavine and Victor Oladipo. He is a top level Shot Creator and Scorer. I Hope get''s Traded to the Hawks.
Incredible leaper. 42" vertical without working out. Generational athlete, not dissimilar to a Zion Williamson in that regard.
Was asked to do too much at GA, way too many doubles. Has taken heat from his decision making. Probably unfair.
Didn''t commit to basketball until 14. Does he love the game?
Personality seems very confident.
Shooting +
Freight train to basket.
Nba Comp: Donovan Mitchell:
Strengths: A rangy, 6’5 225 guard prospect with a truly formidable combination of size, strength, and quick-twitch athleticism on the perimeter … Somewhat of a physical freak, possessing an imposing frame that is mature well beyond its years and that he knows how to use to his advantage … A powerful and explosive leaper, particularly off of 2 feet, and is pretty light on his feet for his size, making him an absolute terror for defenses when he’s slashing to the rim in the half-court or running the floor in transition … Is at his best when he’s going downhill, often steamrolling the wings and smaller guards that defended him on his way to the rim throughout his amateur career … Is a big-time threat to finish above the rim and through contact; has posterized his fair share of defenders and also drawn fouls at a pretty good clip in college as well (over 5 FTA a game, made a pretty solid 77%)
Weaknesses: Edwards has to improve his assertiveness on both ends o
His potential and body characteristics are elite level, despite some concerns. He could fit well with team where he can have a good number of paces to show his abilities and make mistakes without judgments
MIN to ATL for Collins. MIN get their "star" player in exchange for the 1st. Def will be tough between John and KAT but the no.1 pick doesnt realy get you much more this year imo. ATL gets to form their dynamic backcourt duo. Trae''s shooting ability allows Edwards to work on ball without many problems. ATL has decent spacing and without Collins, they can now play 4 shooters around Capela.

Ceiling: All-Star Floor: Solid Starter
Anthony Edwards has a lot of red flags that scouts have seen, which could result in him falling this far. I just don''t think the Hawks pass up on him at this point. He has tremendous upside, but does have flaws in his game.
