love cam christie, think hes very similar to jakobe walter. really good off the dribble shooter, very good percentages, good athlete. hes a bit raw, but he has a great foundation of being a shot creator off screens and off the dribble. got some off the dribble rim pressure upside and has flashed some nice defensive tendencies. great shooter and i think his dedense and driving is solid, he should stick in the nba

Solid defender but needs to out on weight. Great shooter with a ton of versatility. Needs to get to the rim more because he is usually successful when attacking the rim.

Very young shooter who doesn't really do anything else. Less length and athleticism than JaKobe Walter and played a weaker schedule. Very similar to his brother.

Shades of Max Christie.

STRENGTHS:

  • An insane shooter with amazing footwork; knocked down 39% of his threes on 10 attempts per 100 possessions, which is a very great mark

  • Also a very legit mid-range shooter who can get his shot off on pin downs and dribble pull-ups; prefers to be set-up for his mid-range shots

  • Is a player who can keep the offense free flowing; not exactly a playmaker but not a player who will be high maintenance and stall the offense to get his own

  • Able to make tight turns defensively where he can mirror ball handlers decently; has relatively long arms to be bothersome, and if the strength comes around, his ceiling as a role player rises

WEAKNESSES:

  • Not a finisher at all; only made 29% of his floaters and 42% of his finishes at the rim. He will need to find some other offensive value to develop if he can't get his shot going

  • Is a very weak player who does not take contact very well, which is probably why he avoids and does not do well when he attempts shots at the rim

  • His lack of strength is going to show defensively as well, where players will want to play more physical when he is guarding

  • Can have moments of slow reaction time on defense; will be caught ball watching and gets left in the dust often

Best role upon entering the NBA: A development player who can come in and catch fire as a jump shooter if needed to be given minutes

Player Comparison: Shades of Langston Galloway and Max Christie

Great shooter with a great build. He has a silky-smooth jump shot that is quite beautiful to see as a scout. He knows how to get off of screens and he is just an overall great scorer and has a solid passing ability. His problem is that he is not a good finisher or defender, reverting him toa bit of a "just a shooter" kind of player. But still nonetheless, great shooter with great size

He's got NBA size and athleticism, he can shoot it, and he was a key starter for a solid resurgent Minnesota team despite being very young for his class, not even 19 yet. That's a lot of upside, and I would buy into it. He won't really be good until he gets stronger, but the way he plays, I think the physical strength is all that's holding him back, and that should come with time. Otherwise, the interior finishing is the only major concern, but I think it's worth the risk
