Give me your most overrated prospect Give me your most underrated prospect Give me a prospect you think will rise a ton Give me a prospect you’d like to see play a different position Give me a prospect you think will return Give me your favorite mid major prospect Give me your favorite Junior/Senior prospect

Answer as many as you’d like

KJ Lewis (I don’t think he’s projected first round but he’s the only prospect I’ve scouted so far I am definitely lower on) Kasparas Kasparas Proctor (sg) Derrion Reid Hunter Sallis( haven’t scouted this year but thought he was a potential first round guy last year) Trevon Brazielle (liked him last year)…

Tre Johnson shows the potential to be a 3 level scorer with defense. He is a very fluid mover at 6ft 6 and already has great guard skills. He is among the best shooters in the class from three and in the mid range who can shoot off the catch, move, and dribble. He has a very tight handle and has been able to consistently create good looks from the perimeter using this. He is also active off ball. He does sometimes struggle to get all the way to the rim and separate from his defender with burst, but his first step isn't bad considering his height. He needs to improve his rim volume to become a star, but he has been effective once he gets there. I think he can improve this as he puts on strength. His passing is the most underrated part of game. He is a very willing passer who plays within the offense and has flashed some more advances passes like a live dribble skip pass. He has also established himself as a transition threat. Texas gets out in transition quickly and Tre has had the ball…

Ace bailey has an incredibly high ceiling. He is a tremendously fluid athlete at 6ft 10 and can already knock down threes of the catch and move effectively. He is also the best tough shot maker in the class. He is also the best tough shot attempter in the class. While he is able to make some off balance shots from three and in the mid range, a shot diet composed of half catch and shoot threes and half shots that stop the flow of the offense entirely teams must have their concerns. He is taking these difficult shots because he can't create space. He doesn't get low with the ball which loosens his handle. Granted, he is 6ft 10, but for a player looked to be a primary scorer his handle is too loose. He also doesn't get to the rim at all. He has some burst but he doesn't have the strength to get all the way to the rim. If he can find a way to the paint his touch should make him effective here. He also is completely unwilling to pass and overall does not have high feel. This has to improve …

Dylan has an unheard of level offensive game for a freshman guard. He processes the floor at a high level and makes decisions quickly. His delivery on his passes are great and he doesn't make a lot of mistakes. He is in the second tier of passers in the class, he isn't quite at the level as Egor or Kasparas as he is much more reactive and doesn't make some of the home run passes they do. He has a very tight handle and can get to his spots. While he doesn't possess top end burst, or a 40 inch vertical, he is still a great athlete. He has great balance and dexterity which makes him a great interior scorer. He is a good finisher with either hand when driving is comfortable taking his time and going off two feet. He also often goes off his outside food to throw off the defenders timing, this is another way he gets around his lack of high end explosion. He has a great post game too as he utilizes spins and fakes to create easy opportunities. He is not a good shooter yet but he is a solid fr…

PREDICTIONS

MVP

There are five players who are in contention for the MVP this season, those being the five best talents in the league right now. Giannis, Embiid, SGA, Jokic, and Luka. I think it is unlikely Embiid reaches 65 games. He is already exempting himself from back to back appearances and has a history of injuries. I don't project Giannis' bucks to be a top three seed. Same goes for Jokic and his nuggets. This leaves me with two prime candidates. SGA makes a great case, likely the one seed, elite scorer, good defender, and with some of the shooting he showed in preseason, it would be hard to not give him the award. The player I am going with, is Luka Doncic. I project the Mavs as a top 3 seed and I don't think SGA can compete with Luka this season on pure box score numbers. Klay should bring his assist numbers to an ever higher mark possible eclipsing ten. His stats, team success, and the overall feelings within the media that he is long overdue should give him the MVP.

THIS IS ONLY THE GAMES THAT I NOT ONLY WATCHED BUT WATCHED THE ENTIRETY OF WITH FULL FOCUS.

I watched most of the other games if you want to give your takeaways on those I will likely give my input. I would just be less confident posting about games I didn’t give my full focus to.

Kings vs Lakers

Knecht has trouble creating separation Armel Traore has a great motor, good play finishing, good strong defense, a bit out of control and not much playmaking. Very physical athlete. Maxwell Lewis looks great creating but hasn’t gained much size if any since last year Bronny looks overzealous defensively

Heat vs Warriors

Ware needs to rely more on his in the paint game he isn’t a reliable enough shooter yet to base his game around that. Also needs to be more competitive on the glass. Overall didn’t look comfortable but it’s his first game and he is raw. Cole Swider needs a real nba contract he’s an elite shooter who hasn’t gotten opportunity yet because of what he was pre nba. Hornets vs S…

Scouting Report:

DRIVING/FINISHING

At a stout 6ft 2 Isiah colliers major selling point is his elite rim pressure. He’s a bursty athlete with the size to not get bumped off and finish through the contact. While his handle needs to be tightened to avoid some of the turnovers he had at USC this year he showed bright and consistent flashes of self creation using it. His change of direction is quick and he is great at shifting his weight low quickly to explode to the rim. He finished over 50 percent at the rim using a medley of finishes with both hands. He will need to build upon his handle as in the NBA his strength won’t be enough to consistently get rim attempts. His explosion and already deep bag gives me optimism he’ll be an elite rim attacker very early in his NBA career. I also have optimism he will shoot more floaters as he shot more in the games I watched later in the year than he did pre injury.

SHOOTING

At face value his shooting is a weakness. He only shot 32 percent fr…

I feel like with his injury, and lack of playing time, Amen was not being talked about. I saw a few label him a bust, saw him going low in way too early redrafts, and being overlooked. In the last couple weeks the talks around amen have changed. This latter part of the year he’s started to put it together.

He’s the most athletic player in the NBA. I’m not going to say one of, nobody else who can jump as high as him and run as fast as him, is also 6ft 7, strong, explosive, and quick changing directions. This has lead him to being one of the best guard/wing defenders in the NBA, and if the all defense teams were still position less, and he were to start, would have a legitimate chance to make an all defensive team. He moves quick laterally and has great hands which’s makes him elite on ball. He is great recovering in the rare times he is beat. He’s good in passing lanes, giving him high steal numbers as well. He gambles but he’s so quick to pounce on point guards mistakes that his succe…

After ANT’s recent explosion it’s made me wonder how high can he go. To briefly go over where he is right now here’s my breakdown.

Great at attacking the rim against a set defense or a shifting one. Great attacker in transition. Comfortable finishing throws contact and using his physicality. Versatile shooter who is very comfortable shooting off the bounce. Solid percentages. Very good scorer out the pick and roll, uses patience well. Good in between game. Probably gets too much credit as a playmaker he’s late on reeds and stops ball movement a lot but he’s improving in this area. Turnover prone. Good on ball defender, strong with quick feet and good hands. Bad off ball defender, gambles a lot.

So that brings up the question, what areas can he improve on. I’d say offensively if he can be a better playmaker, paired with his already high usage, he’ll be one of the better primary options. He is already a good shooter but if he can get to that around 40 percent mark it’ll send him to ano…

One of the more NBA ready players in the later part of the first round. Devin Carter is an a good all around players with no glaring flaws in his game. He’s a versatile player on both ends of the floor. While only being 6ft 3 he has the build to play shooting guard thanks to his size but the skill to play some point.

Offensively, I see him being a shooting guard in the NBA. His shooting should give him a role early on. He has good splits and wasn’t only shooting catch and shoot. He didn’t attack a lot of closeouts when I watched, but he has a solid first step and looked fast in the open court so I think he can develop this skill. He has a solid handle but was not super creative with the ball. He drove some but relied a lot on his strength and still didn’t finish consistently. However, he did look good absorbing contact. The reason I mainly see him being a shooting guard is his playmaking. While I don’t think he’s below average as a passer, and he did look good in the pick and roll. Th…

THE DAME LOPEZ PICK AND ROLL/POP -many are curious as to why the bucks barely run pick and roll with dame and giannis, but I think the pop option brook provides gives another dimension to the bucks offense. Dame is top 5 in efficiency in pick and roll situations among ball handlers . Brook Lopez is a top 20 most efficient roller among bigs, adding that with his 3pt spacing, and elite ability to set screens, provides the bucks with a lethal option in their offense.

THE DEFENSE ISSUES WITH THE BUCKS GUARDS -After watching today’s game, I’ve changed my mind on what the bucks need to do at guard. Malik Beasley has been too good of a shooter and quaternary creator option to just replace with the first solid point of attack defender the bucks can get at the deadline. The bucks current solution to their lack of point of attack defense is playing Andre Jackson jr. He’s solid but they need to do more than ask a rookie guard to be the stopper in the playoffs. This leads me to my next point abou…
