another european pg prospect everyone loves, but this one makes sense.
demin has risen on boards for a lot of people and it’s understandable as to why.
he’s looked solid out there. his playmaking has caught eyes and he looks like he could potentially be a good scorer in the future.
while i think he’s still a little raw offensively in terms of his shot and ability to finish at the rim, and his motor defensively and overall has some questions, demin has looked fine out there for byu and is someone to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
Very big, long, athlete at 6'8". If he can become a more consistent scorer, he will be a top 5 pick. He is a good playmaker and defender, and he's crafty around the rim.
NBA Comp: SGA
Last Ranking: 8
Trend: UP
Prospect Tier: 1
Projected NBA rookie role: Playmaking hub from the Point Forward
Projected NBA position: Guard
Projected Rookie Statline (Pts, Reb, Ast, Blk/Stl): 12, 3, 6, 1 (Stl)
Strengths: On Ball playmaking, Credit his time overseas and now with NBA level coach Kevin Young for Elite feel for the game, Great spot up and self created 3pt shooting, Great touch around the rim, Long arms allow easy steals in the passing lane.
Weakness: Despite high steal averages, he has slower feet on defense and tends to get blown by somewhat often, slimmer frame exaggerates his lack of interior strength, Lack of rebounding apparent at 6'9.
Shades of/comp: Defensively bought in Tyrese Haliburton, Josh Giddey on Steriods
Best outcome: If his shotmaking translates and his length produces solid defensive production, he projects to being one of the top guards in the league and potentially the best player out of this class, which truly does say a lot.
mid outcome: Theres a realistic scenario where we see Demin struggle defensively at the next level, in this case though we still see the fruits of his offensive output.
worst outcome: Like Harper, I see Demin as one of the safer high-end prospects in this class. But if his shot isnt consistent at the next level, that could raise some problems.

Love his game, has some prime Ben Simmons on offense to it but is a good 3 point shooter. Great passer and ball handler crafty off the bounce. Not completely sure his position but he is the top prospect that can challenge the big 3. Franz Wagner

Very fluid at 6ft 9 and is an amazing playmaker. Up and down shooter. Not utilized enough as a driver but his fluidity and playmaking gravity make him effective. He is a good off ball mover. He is not strong enough to guard most wings and not quick enough laterally to guard almost guards. Falls asleep off the ball.
