This guy has the makings of one of the best shooters in the NBA. His stroke is smooth, and he has a silky release. He is able to score on and off the ball, and is also able to make plays. He isn't a consistent go to option on offense however. His defense is solid, but hasn't been tested against super high level offenses.

NBA Comparison: Taller Seth Curry

Projected Draft Range: 40-Undrafted

Height 6'7 Weight 200 lbs Wingspan 6'9 DOB 6/1/02 (Draft Age: 20) Pre-Draft Team Fortitudo Bologna

Offense

  • Knock down C&S stroke. Nice high release with good lift.

  • Developing dribble pull-up game.

  • Comfortable coming off screens for jumpers.

  • Projects as an average or better offensive rebounder.

  • Overly reliant on right hand.

  • Poor ball handler and virtually no self creation skills.

Defense

  • Some projectable versatility here - potential to guard 2-4.

  • Lateral quicks and hip movement aren't bad.

  • Needs to fill out especially in the chest and shoulders.

  • Low post defensive technique is actually very good.

  • Positive defensive stance, instincts, and footwork.

Swing Factors

  • Strength - A must against NBA talent that should naturally come

  • Dribbling - An assured ability to dribble drive for pull-ups and finishes at the cup changes his projection towards a more well rounded offensive threat.

  • Translatable Defensive Upside - If his footwork on the perimeter and inside show the same upside in the States he becomes a real defensive asset.

Role

  • A 3 & D project wing who works his way up the latter by filling out his body, improving his shooting consistency, and following through on his defensive promise.

  • LOW: NBA athleticism proves to be too much for him and he returns overseas to become an excellent talent known for scoring and locking down.

  • HIGH: Procida's development continues flawlessly over the course of the next few years and he becomes a trusted top of the rotation 3 & D guy who can shoot in a multitude of scenarios (C&S, off-screens, off-dribble pull-ups) and is a highly versatile valuable defender both inside & out.

Another one of my favorites. High flying athlete who gets plenty of highlight dunks and posters. Has a picture perfect shooting form, legit one of the prettiest I've ever seen. Already a very good 3 point shooter, can shoot off the move, spot up and shows some flashes of off the dribble shooting. Not exactly a half court creator but has some decent driving and finishing around the rim and has shown some flashes of a pull up shooting game. Doesn't really look to pass the ball much. Not a good defender but not bad either. Has some quickness and size so could be decent with good coaching.

Best fits: idk any team that likes athletic 3 point shooters. Probably Memphis I guess.

Player analysis

Gabriele Procida is a weird player to evaluate, he has length with a high upside but is raw and might not even move to the league right away. Usually I absolutely hate draft and stash prospects because of the likelihood of prospects falling out of teams periphery within a year or two, but Procida has some interesting aspects to his game, he is one of the most athletic players in the draft and stands at 6’7 which is pretty large for a wing player, he has extremely interesting potential because of his physical traits. Gabriele played for a club in Italy that many weren’t really looking at for a majority of the season, I’m not quite sure what his skillset is because of this weird league that I'm not too familiar with. His skillset among scouts seems to be more so based in talent rather than real abilities, this is most likely why a team might be hesitant to bring him over immediately as rumored. Wouldn’t be surprised if he spends a ton of time in the G-League or stays in Europe so organizations can have a larger and more experienced sample size for his game. He seems to be a solid shooter and a good slasher with defensive tools but I don’t think he is NBA caliber right now. Whichever team picks him needs to be patient and keep him in the team direction. A lot of prospects that aren't ready right away often get lost in the shuffle which leads to falling out of the league, I hope that Gabriele is able to find himself on a team passionate enough about his talent to give him the time to develop.

Procida is a great draft and stash option. This guy is a sniper. For his size he is a quality ball handler and playmaker. He isn't overly athletic. I haven't watched a ton of film on him as I probably should've so I'm not best to judge Procida's potential or game. But from what I have seen, I think he can be a legit role player in the league after his time in Europe.

  • Is pretty quick and great at running his lane

  • Has a nice step back

  • Has a special ability to block 3s

Flaws:

  • Averaged 7.0 ppg in the euro league this year

  • Not a great playmaker, IQ and court feel could use some work

One of the smoothest strokes in this draft class. Spot-up shooting impresses game-by-game. Sneaky good athleticism for his size. Length and first step allows for easy layups.

Raw talent as an international prospect. Needs to cool it with the turnovers and decision making skills. Tends to drive through contact and take contested layups through perimeter defenders.
