all of his stats from last year noticeably improved this year, even though he's having higher usage and playing in a tougher conference.
averaging a double-double (15 & 10).
pretty decent when guarding the perimeter. he applies pressure very well and forces bad shots.
^ overall, he's a good defender. averages 1.8 steals a game, uses his length and body well to protect the paint and contest shots, and like i said, he's a decent perimeter guarder.
i like his ability to pass. has some really good looks and averages 3.4 assists a game.
active on boards offensively and defensively. averages 3.6 offensive rebounds a game and 6.9 defensive rebounds a game.
71% from the ft line. serviceable for a power forward but could be better.
really good fg percentage, 66.7%.
good ast/to ratio, 1.9 (basically gets 2 assists for every turnover).
good shooting efficiency (0.67).
pretty agile and quick on his feet.
could be a lob threat, shows some flashes this year, and was a lob threat last year.
some off-ball cutting, nothing too crazy but i like the effort.
good weight and body, big but not too big.

on the older side. will be 23 this year. i don't think there's much more upside to him than what we see right now, other than maybe some minor improvements.
6'8, which isn't bad for a pf, but would be nice if he was a little bit taller.
looks a lot slower than he did his previous year in missouri state. not as aggressive and explosive. shows some flashes of still being able to do things he did in last year, but not as well as before.
not that good of a finisher. doesn't have much of a bag in the post, other than big bodying people. some of his shot selections around the rim are a little questionable and he doesn't go up as strongly as you might like. he has the offensive game of a center (for the most part), but the body of a power forward. not sure if that will translate well into the nba, unless he plays a really small 5.
doesn't have a jumper, and i doubt he develops one. even though he's shooting 70+ from the ft line, i feel like we would've seen him have a shot by now, considering he's a third-year player.
would NOT want him handling the ball to make a play for himself. he'd often lose his handle or pick up his dribble in awkward spots, putting him in bad situations. if he's trying to make a play for someone else though, i wouldn't mind him having the ball too much considering his passing ability.
minor, but some of his decisions when he has the ball are just dumb. more reason as to why i don't really want him handling the ball.
not sure if he's played tough enough competition. sure, the wcc is one of the stronger non-P5 leagues, but he played at a CC his first year, then at the mvc his second year for missouri state. will he be able to go against better athletes and overall players? will he be as effective as he is now? i'll slightly give him the edge that he won't struggle too much, considering that in the wcc he's going against teams like gonzaga, saint mary's, and santa clara, which are all good teams... but still something to note.
averages 2.4 fouls per game, but that doesn't make me doubt his defensive ability too much.
averages 1.8 turnovers a game, but that doesn't make me doubt his passing ability too much.

mogbo is someone who i love. i think he has so much to offer, but i can also see why he isn't very high on boards. mogbo excels in almost every stat, and his film supports a lot of that. he does have some glaring issues though, especially offensively. he's old, he can't shoot, he's not a strong ball handler, his finishing ability could use some work, and his offensive bag just doesn't fit his frame and body. these are all significant issues, but he makes up for a lot of it with everything else he has. he can pass, can play defense, gets rebounds, could be a lob threat, can be reliable with his attempts on the field, his ft percentages, and he's improved from the previous year.
i feel like if you really want him to excel, you play him as a small 5. even though he doesn't play like a center for san francisco, he'd probably perform better in the next level playing as a center. shades of naz reid.
an interesting prospect, someone who i will be keeping in mind as time passes by.
