Very solid lefty lanky 2 guard. Skinny but a great catch and shoot guy, as well as pull up off the dribble. Shades of Alec Burks

High End: Gary Harris (extreme outlier vibe: Penny Hardaway) Low End: Keon Johnson/Matisse Thybulle Median outcome: Bruce Brown Pros: Defense, athleticism, passing Cons: Interior scoring, shooting Verdict: Very intriguing statistical performer as a defender, but everything about Byrd's offense leaves something to be desired. His 3pt shooting has good splits, but the form is a bit janky and should be tweaked for a faster and cleaner release which should assist in increasing his percentages. He's a solid off-ball mover and can dunk the ball due to his athleticism, but he struggles to finish through contact or just finish in general despite this. If the shot does not develop, Byrd might be a case of wasted potential because everything about him, from his frame to his traits, just scream NBA 3&D.

Really long and is an NBA-ready athlete. Has great feel for the game. Pretty good shooter. Defense is also solid.

  • Athletically he is NBA ready

  • Could be drafted this year but should go to a team that will give him chances to develop

  • Great shooter, both with catch-and-shoot and off the dribble

  • Good defense, good at using his length

  • Not the best scorer inside of the arc

  • Can be very streaky

  • Amazing off-ball movement

  • Comp: Dante Exum / Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

  • Ceiling: Starter

  • Floor: Out of league

  • Expectation: Bench

  • What to Expect: Subpar 3 and D wing

GSW Position: SG

Strengths: a shotmaker (3pt shot, 2pt shot), uses his long arms to defend (guards), good at coming from the blind side of opponent to create disfunction, very good at pick and rolls (left hand) and when to use it for a layup as well, box out opponents off the glass even the bigger ones, plays with a lot of energy, a lot of two way potential, stays confident even when he is not making shots, gets shots in the flow, get steals, a really good help defender

Weaknesses: he can make young mistakes at times (sophomore), rebounding can be better, inconsistent shooter in general (has gotten better every year though)
