The value of MPJ is high, but it is uncertain. Cam Johnson and a 1st in 2032 was the price to obtain him less than a year ago. Now, it looks like he is playing to well for the NETS to tank.

Enter Grant... He is a valuable 2-way vet that can understand the assignment of tanking. If you need him to shut it down after All star break with an "ankle injury", he will have no complaints. Additionally, NETS get control over a possibly juicy 1st from either MIL or POR in 2028, and another future 1st with little protection. Essentially 3 1sts and JG for Cam Johnson. The extra 4 2nd rd picks help grease further trades as well.

POR needs shooting, and an additional roster spot to sign 1 of Love or Cissoko. Building a young versatile team around Deni would be fantastic!
