Draft Pick Breakdown-

**UTA Gets- POR 2025 1st Rd pick

2028 1st Rd Pick Swap (Best pick out of MIL, POR, UTA and CLE)

**POR Gets- 2028 1st Rd pick swap (2nd best pick out of MIL, POR, & UTA)

**MIL still gets the worst out of the 3 picks

I saw the Lauri idea on Reddit from u/DreddBane. This is a trade idea that I believe benefits all teams. This is a big cost for POR in giving up Grant, RWIII, the low lotto 2025 1st Rd pick, and a pick swap in 2028. However, if we want to add an All Star, this is probably what it costs!

Lauri would fit in GREAT with our core! A line up of Scoot or Ant at PG, then Tou or Shae, Deni, Lauri, and DA or DC. Lauri is a guy that doesn't have to have the ball in his hands, he helps with spacing, rebounding, and continues to add length to the team. Grant and RWIII are most likely not long term pieces, but Lauri is young enough to be with the team for 5-8 years easily.

What are your thoughts or concerns with this?…

I dont know about the pick compensation… but this is a framework for a deal in the summer for DAL to add KD to Kyrie, Klay, AD, and Lively….

I think this is too much depth for DAL to send out, but if they can add people creatively through FA that would help.

I know DAL fans are mad, but this is interesting….

Everyone gets what they want. Each team is giving up a lot in talent level, I dont see a way that any team should owe a 1st rd pick.

*WAS gets a GREAT role player for 2 bottom of the bench guys…

The 2 trades - POR/HOU & then SAS/POR/CLE

——Pick details——

CLE gets-

*2030 1st rd pick swap with POR where CLE gets the worse of the 2 picks (CLE pick is top 2 protected)

POR Gets-

*Four 2d rd picks

*2030 1st rd pick swap with CLE where POR gets the better of the 2 picks (protected top 2)

2025 1st from HOU via PHX (Most likely pick 12-18) *Rationale - OKC can swap with HOU or LAC- OKC will most likely swap with LAC. After this HOU will swap this pick for PHX 1st in 2025. OKC has no claim over PHX pick.

THOUGHTS? CHANGES? ISSUES? Happy to break down the why for the different teams….

Not sure how draft captital would be spread out in this trade, but this framework makes sense.

**UTA & PHX 1st rd pick swap already happened

GSW- Bring back KD for a final run with Steph & add Valanciunas for a solid team.

MIA- Move Butler to PHX, where he wanted but minus KD now. MIA still gets a great piece in Wiggins, the veteran toughness of Draymond, & a 1st rd pick swap getting the more valuable 1st.

PHX- Finds a path to move forward. They receive extra draft captital for moving KD but retain a great player in Butler.

WSH- Facilitates the trade and gets extra draft captital as well…

I'm a POR fan and I definitely want value for Ant and RWIII if they are traded. I think bringing in Jabari Smith, Landale, and three 2nd rd picks is pretty fair.

This answers the needs of the Rockets with adding a go-to bucket getter in Ant. This also adds a solid DEF center to elevate their interior DEF.

POR wants a solid young player to add to the core and moving Ant opens up more space for Scoot and gives flexibility to move Grant if needed.

Lineups for POR-

Starters- Scoot / Shae / Deni / Grant / Ayton

Bench- Banton (maybe resigns) / Tou / Murray / Smith / DC

Depth- Tisse / Landale / maybe Walker (most likely not resigned)

**Most likely move Grant in the offseason, and Smith moves to the starting lineup…

This is the most realistic trade for Jimmy today.

Pick swap details* -In 2031 WAS gets the best 1st rd pick out of from MIA/ MIL/ WAS

-MIA gets the 2nd most valuable 1st rd pick out of MIA/ MIL/ WAS

-MIL gets the least valuable of the three 1st rd picks

Only 2 teams have cap space and a TPE to absorb Pat from MIL - Memphis and Washington (This could be wrong, but it was all I found in the trade machine)

-This is needed due to MIL being a 2nd apron team. They need to move Pat to duck under the 2nd apron by the end of the trade.

Why MIL does it?

They can add Jimmy to Dame and Giannis for about 1-3 years of solid title contention

Why MIA does it?

They aren't getting anything better than this for Jimmy. They will either lose him in a year for nothing, or strike while MIL is desperate.

Why WAS does it?

WAS is still trying to build an identity! Adding another champion vet will help the locker room understand what it takes to win. Additionally, getting the best control over the 20…

Pick details- pick swap in 2031 where POR gets the better of the two 1st rounders (Top 2 protected)

Why LAL does it- AD isn't the happiest playing center. Adding Ayton & Reath gives AD more time to play PF. Adding Rupert is a great upside wing with length, DEF upside, and a decent 3pt shot. Ayton would help with spacing because he doesn't need to play in the post. If it doesn't work out, he is an expiring contract next year.

Why POR does it- POR has DC & RWIII as their preferred centers moving forward. Moving off of Ayton cleans up the rotation, and adds a PF in Rui that makes Grant more expendable as well. Plus getting access to a future LAL 1st with some upside is enticing.

Thoughts? Issues? Appreciate constructive feedback!…

Kings- Derozan hasn't worked the way they planned, and adding depth in Grant and RWIII helps the team with DEF. Grant fills the roles of shooting of Huerter, solo shot creation of Derozan, and wing DEF.

LAL- They need HELP! Lebron is trying to do enough to get them to the playoffs and needs more help on OFF. Derozan is a wing that isn't a negative on DEF, but definitely better on OFF than Rui and Christie combined.

POR- They get impactful young players and draft capital. Grant isn't part of the long term plan, and RWIII won't get more valuable as a trade asset. Trading both now nets them all the pieces they asked for in a trade. *They still do right by Banton and waive him after his contract was guaranteed….

There are a lot of elements to this trade that make sense for all parties. One aspect is that all teams remain under the tax.

CHI trade is to simply unlock POR future 1sts. This way CHI gets tangible trade assets rather than waiting and hoping a late first eventually falls to them

Why POR does this?- There is a lot of talk about moving Ant and RWIII. Moving both in one move increases the return. Cronin wants young upside players on extended contracts (Enter Cam Whitmore). Whitmore is only getting playing time when there are injuries. Cronin also wants trade assets that give him flexibility. Getting 1st rd pick swaps and Vanfleet with a huge contract helps. Vanfleet's contract has a team option next year, so POR could flip him like Jru Holiday, trade him at the draft, trade him at the next deadline, or simply make him a buyout guy/ let him walk and get $40+ mil + Green's $8m off the books. Vanfleet has a contract that could help trades with LAL, MIA, MIL, ATL, SAC, and CHI.

Why does…

MIA is not getting a massive haul for a 35 year old star that wants a max extension. I do think he fits in perfectly with OKC.

If he gets an ideal role on a contender like this, I think he may be open to less money to be able to compete for 3-4 years. He already showed on-court happiness is worth more than off-court happiness….

I think this works for all teams. HOU (Udoka) gets to team up with Grant Williams again for only an expiring contract and a couple 2nds.

POR picks a direction with Ant and gets a young shooter to help Scoot, salary relief, plus a chance at a solid 1st rd pick (top 2 protected from CHA)

CHA gets a young flame thrower with upside to put next to Melo, Miller, and Bridges….
