This is a trade I saw online

At first I was a little confused because I was doubting the Rockets would do this but after thinking about it… maybe? Şengün and Green will both be up for big extensions after this season, then in 2026 they’ll have to pay Jabari, Eason, and in 2027 they’ll need to pay Amen and Whitmore. Even though Jabari is the highest draft pick of those guys he sorta seems like the odd man out. He hasn’t exceeded like they thought he would. Since the Rockets are trying to compete it makes sense to go out and get Jerami Grant for a low price. Even if it doesn’t mean competing this season- Grant is still on a deal where you can compete in 2 or 3 seasons when more of the young guys have developed good.
