Why do the Blazers do this:
The Trail Blazers are desperate for defense instead of offense, so they trade some offensive players for much-needed defense in Draymond Green to play center and Ben Simmons to play power forward. They trade for Maxi Kleber and Willie Cauley-Stein to complete the bench lineup as they don't really need RoCo anymore. They resign Carmelo Anthony as he has said he enjoys playing in Portland. They also resign Norman Powell as he was great last season. For new signings, they have Otto Porter Jr. and Kris Dunn signed with the MLE. Otto Porter is an all-around wing who can slide into the starting lineup nicely. Kris Dunn is a solid backup for Dame, who provides defense on the bench.
