I couldn't bring myself to type anything for Cooper to the Mavericks as a Utah Jazz lifer, and now it won't let me edit. I do not think there is any logical way that the draft is rigged, but the irony here is almost too much to stomach...

Though certainly thrilled that they landed Cooper Flagg, I don't even think Dallas fans are happy with the idea that Nico gets gifted a get out of jail free card. An absolutely absurd outcome for Dallas, San Antonio, and Philly to all land in the top three.

The irony aside, Dallas will be very good next year, particularly if they can get Kyrie back around the All-Star break and round out the rest of their roster. Flagg gets to go to a situation where his team can be competitive from day one.
