WHY CELTICS DO IT:
Their season is trash, so they do this to avoid luxury for at least another year. They give Magic $$$.
WHY MAGIC DO IT:
This year's draft is full of bigs among top picks, they just extended WCJ and there's Isaac too. Instead of losing him for free, they get a late first.
WHY PELICANS DO IT:
Zion's injuries aren't just bad luck, he's way too muscolar (or fat, or both) for his height, his legs can't support that much weight. Solution? Limiting jumping and fast pacing, so playing point guard.
For Hart and next year's FRP, they get a young player with superstar potential, a decent young scoring guard, a less talented version of Josh Hart and bet on Portland's pick, by 2028 they should make playoffs even if they blow it up this summer.
Starting 5: Zion, Graham/NAW, Ingram, PatWill, Valanciunas
WHY BULLS DO IT:
With Hart they get a great upgrade of DJJ, Bamba is the defensive big they need.
They sacrifice PatWill, but they also get 2 young players (especially Bamba) and a pick that should be around 13-17, way better than their 2022 or a Portland pick that they could get (if they get it) when DeRozan and Vucevic are gone.
Starting 5: Lonzo, LaVine, Hart, DDR, Vucevic
Second Unit: Ayo, Caruso/MCW, Green/Caruso, TBJ/Green, Bamba
They have a spot open and can create another cutting Moore. MCW could also be an underrated piece.
