Grant makes a lot of sense for Memphis, even with his bloated contract and adding Timelord as an insurance for Eddy works great as the Blazers are too stacked at the 5 anyway.
Blazers get a veteran defensive leader in Smart and 3 other useful players/trade chips plus a top 3 protected 2025 draft pick which should be a priority for the Blazers this season. Most importantly, they move off of Grant's contract and balance their team out with this move. Why not?
